Four weeks to go

Yes just four weeks to go now before the start of the season. I cannot wait. I have heard there are some changes to the river this year due to the floods. David (bigDai) has been busy down the river over the winter doing some habitat work, and the same 4 or 5 members were back down the river this weekend (the 1st and 2rd march litter picking. Well done to all of you. I heard that the big Oak tree from the cattle drink pool is now down the flats. I have been tying some more flies over the winter to. These are the ones I will be using.

I like using flies with orange and gold in them. The two tubes worked well last year. Lets hope they work as good this year. 

I hope to get down before the start of the season to walk the river, to have a look at any changes to the river myself and take some pics. I need some more as I am running out of good pics for the back ground on the blog .
